Services -
We try to be flexible, and the projects we've worked on for our clients have reflected
that flexibility. Our clients cut across a wide breadth of vertical markets
from railroads, to newspapers, to oil companies, to catalog publishers, to medical
reprocessors, to title insurance providers, to commercial real estate, to equity trading and
the list goes on.
Our involvement can range from very short term, immediate need type projects to
resolve a pending need to those that require extensive planning, design, implentation
and deployment.
Typical scenarios:
Project Management:
We can help define a project and work with your existing staff or with
other 3rd parties to implement IT based projects. Because of our diverse background
working with technical and non-technical users we're able to take a more deep rooted
approach to project management, especially on those projects which have a large
IT component.

Custom Applications:
In many cases our clients have defined the scope of a project and our job
is to turn those designs into a finished product, providing any insight along the way
that will get the applications done sooner, better with greater cost efficiency.
Then again, we're also faced with many back of the envelope designs where we work
with our clients to find the best way to handle a project. That could involve
writing an entirely new application but it could also mean extending the scope of
an existing application, working with available shrink-wrapped packages, or just building
"bridges" between applications in the form of macros, scripts or custom applications
of a reduced scope. It all comes down to understanding the budget, the audience
and the expected lifespan of the application.

Add on to existing applications:
Sometimes we're asked to work within the framework of an existing application.
In many cases documentation may not exist and the original code may be in what has
termed in the industry of the "spaghetti" variety.
Depending on the extent of the changes requested, we can work with the older code
and hopefully find ways to make the needed modifications. We can also work
towards getting more familiar with existing applications and recommend ways to extend
their usefulness - or detail a plan on how the applications can be re-written.

Legacy applications:
Older code written on older platforms may need to be rewritten. If we're working
with an existing IT staff we can find ways to not only collaborate on the rewrite
but also provide some inhouse training to update skills of your inhouse staff.

Reporting Solutions:
We've worked with Crystal Reports since the very first release and still have the
installation disks to prove it. Many times we've been asked to develop the
reporting component for a larger project and sometimes we've been asked to create
an ad-hoc report to fill an immediate need.
In most cases reports provide our clients information that allows them to better
understand and run their business, but in many instances reports also allow provide
insight to how clean the information is within their corporate databases.
In many cases, clients are surprised to find inconsistent, outdated and incorrect
information.
We can also provide training in Crystal Reports. We've run inhouse seminars
in the past and we've also worked one on one with many of our clients so they not
only understand the reports that we've created for them but can also make modifications
to those reports and create their own reports.

Interim IT Dept:
There have been situations where we've worked with smaller companies that did not
have an IT department and some companies where the IT staff had left for greener
pastures. In each case we've come in on a temporary basis to maintain and
develop new applications until suitable permanent replacement staff can be found.
In many cases being we've also been integerally involved in helping to define job specifications,
reviewing resumes, interviewing and taking part in the final selection process.
From there we can work with new hires, explainging the applications we've worked
on, smoothing the transition process.
